The 2019 Emerging Leaders Series

We created the annual Emerging Leaders Series to ensure there is a clear career path for our EnableComp colleagues who desire to hone their leadership skills, obtain cross-functional exposure, and ultimately move up within the company.  I have had the privilege of sponsoring our Emerging Leaders Program and am very proud of the enhancements we have made by pulling together a diverse group of leaders within the company to lead these sessions.  The program keeps getting better every year!

In addition to the presentations from our different department heads about the inner-workings of all our functional areas, we have partnered with our Human Resources colleagues to expand the program this year in various ways.  For example, we:

  • Opened it up to all colleagues within the company, and had a highly selective application and interview process
  • Included various team-building activities with group participation to encourage teamwork and build relationships
  • Hosted an Executive Leadership Team Roundtable Q&A session to provide career insights from our senior leaders on select topics
  • Provided individual feedback on personality assessment results and dynamics
  • Kicked off a group project to give cross-functional exposure to these emerging leaders – and to help them develop their problem-solving skills in 2020.  An added benefit will be process improvement initiatives from which several departments will benefit
  • Hosted community service day options benefitting our local parks (see pictures attached!). 

Throughout the experience, we collectively emphasized our Core Values – from Empowering our Team Members to giving back to our local communities.  

Even with all these enhancements to the program, we are already planning for more in 2020!  At EnableComp, we want to continually invest in our colleagues so that they can grow with us as we expand into new markets, offer new products, and open new offices!
