We Got our #NosesOn to End Child Poverty

Posted July 3, 2018 by Erin Lockwood

There’s something about a red nose that just makes you smile, especially when it’s for a good cause. You may have heard of Red Nose Day, which is dedicated to ending child poverty, from celebrities and companies across the nation as they have given this event tons of publicity. Here at EnableComp, we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to participate in a fun event that does an even greater good.

For the last few years, we have purchased red noses in which all the proceeds go towards the cause, and we make a day of it. This year, we utilized the challenges available on the website like “get coffee with the red nose on”, “go to a meeting with the red nose on”, etc. It was not only hilarious, but truly rewarding to see our employees get excited and involved in Red Nose day by challenging one another in an extra effort to show support for this wonderful charity.

Red Nose Day launched in the UK in 1988 and then in the US in 2015. The money raised by Red Nose Day in the US has benefited programs for children and young people in all 50 states and in 34 countries internationally. These small noses can truly make a big impact. Year to date, over $42 million has been raised in an effort to end child poverty. Since 2015, over $100 million has been raised and helped over 8 million children.

It’s important to us to support our communities, and what better way than with a little fun? Our employees have thoroughly enjoyed participating in this event year after year, and we are all looking forward to next year’s Red Nose Day!
