The Virginia Workers’ Comp Commission has finalized the 2018 Virginia Medical Fee Schedule at the request of the Virginia Workers’ Comp Commission pursuant to the regulations that Governor Terry McAuliffe signed into law in 2016. The new VA fee schedule goes into effect on January 1, 2018. EnableComp and many VA providers have already modeled the rate tables and submitted principal findings back to the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission. Hospitals should prepare for significant changes in the way they calculate reimbursement, budget revenue for worker’s compensation as well as managing relationships and contracts with work comp payers and PPO Networks.
