At EnableComp, Fun is one of our six core values and it’s something that we try and incorporate into our regular work schedule. Whether it’s playing a game of ping-pong in the fun room with the CFO or challenging your colleague to a game of Mario Kart on the Wii, we know fun! One of the most fun filled weeks of the year is Revenue Services Week. This is an entire week devoted to our Revenue Services team that work hard all year long to make the company successful.
This year, we decided to shake things up a bit and give every day of the week a specific theme with chances to win contests each day. One of my favorites was the 80’s day because who doesn’t love a little 80’s Madonna every now and again? The employees all wore gear that went along with each of the themed days and they took the opportunity and ran with it! We were not lacking in fluorescents that day!
Every year, we end Revenue Services week with our 4th Quarter Celebration. Year after year, this has been one of the most anticipated quarterly celebrations.
Since it always coincides with Halloween, the day is filled with Halloween themed events. Employees wear costumes, decorate their cubes and/or offices and gather in teams to have a pumpkin carving contest! As we continue to grow, it gets more and more competitive with increasingly creative carvings. They never cease to amaze me with what they can do with one hour, a pumpkin and simple carving tools. After the carving is complete, we gathered all the contest winners for the entire week and gave out awards for each day. These ranged from Most EC Spirit, Best Duo, Most Original 80’s, Best Cube, just to name a few.
This is one of my favorite parts of the week because everyone is anxiously awaiting the awards and much excitement is felt throughout the company. The awards shown below were handmade by member of the HR department and the employees really enjoyed the personal touch. This week was the best yet. Now to top it next year, we better start planning now!
